APPEARANCE:

Typical of a German Shepherd, Edge is rather large at a respectable 24 inches and 60-some pounds. Her physique is ideal for survival; her back does not have the grotesque slope which put the last nail in the coffin of many German Shepherd bloodlines. Rather, she capable of many physical tasks which has kept her alive thus far. She typically does not carry much extra weight, nor does she have many pronounced muscles; instead she is more on the lean side. Her fur is nothing spectacular: short and coarse with a coloration similar to those depicted on once-popular TV shows and the like. Being a young dog meant her coat was made up of rich colors that show no sign of aging. Her fur is made up of browns and tans which fades into lighter, creamier colors on her underside and legs. The black mask and saddle she sports are bold in contrast to the rest of her body.

The most notable features are her eyes and ears. Her eyes are almond-shaped, deep brown in color, and are lively. Her ears are large and stand erect, but tend to swivel as her focus changes. With these features combined with the muscles in her face, she is a very expressive animal; every emotion she feels is clearly displayed on her face for the world to see.

While she is aloof to begin with, she has the ability to warm up to anyone and everything. She displays a lot of patience when dealing with other individuals, especially those who are younger and more fragile. She typically takes a mother role over those who may need it and easily become protective to those whom she has no blood relation to. This protective instinct may become a territorial issue in which she lets no one reach what she has claimed without putting up a fight. Similarly, she is eager to please and is exceptionally good at listening to orders; this may pose problems if those above her insists she perform questionable tasks. It isn't that she is oblivious, but rather she feels a great sense of duty to carry out her commands.

Don't think she is all work and no play, however! As a young animal, she still enjoys playing around and being a goofball. She can make almost anything a toy, including small animals — even dogs! Although she had a fairly gentle mouth, her chasing and nipping behaviors insist otherwise. She enjoys exploring and will attempt to recruit anyone in her adventures.

HISTORY:

Born in a rural area, she never experienced human-kind and is endlessly fascinated with everything they have left behind. She was the offspring of a pair of animals breed for work, whom of which escaped through the old fence years before Edge's birth. She had been born far from human-kind and learned how to sneak up on, chase down, — or even fish for — prey.

She came upon the remnants of human-kind, and subsequently other dogs, on accident. She has yet to settle down anywhere or form any bonds, but is getting antsy with so many strange smells surrounding her.
