NAME: Bowie (Bo)
AGE: 4 years

BREED: Anatolian shepherd
PACK: Westwood

APPEARANCE:

Bo is a large dog, standing on relatively tall, strong legs. His coat is a light tan colour, medium length. His face, chest and paws are brushed with a smokey coal colour, as if dipped in ashes. Bo's ears are floppy, a triangular shape, much like a labs. His muzzle is long and thick, housing strong teeth and a floppy pink tongue. Around his somber brown eyes are dark mask-like markings of grey. At the end of his muzzle is a soft grey nose, large for the mouth it is attached to.

On the tips of his legs are large strong paws, with thick black claws. His tail is a fluffy curled attachment, rather long at full length. Its fur is very long, strange almost in comparison to the rest of his coat. Overall, Bo is a muscular, lean, athletic dog.

Bo is quiet a lot of the time. He's aloof and can almost be considered rude by dogs who do not know him. Those belonging to his pack know very well not to question his silence. This dog is not to be messed with, even if he does seem rather meek as he doesn't say much. The thing is, Bo only speaks when he feels the /need/ to. He's a good leader though and is smart. When he does choose to talk he leaves an impact many times.

Though Bo has a quiet side, he can also be very loud with his actions. He's a leader for sure and will not let himself be pushed around- or anyone for that matter. He is protective as hell of his pack and every member, down the the youngest pup and oldest dog. This is also a downfall of his. He can get distracted protecting others and can be almost /too/ loyal. Bo get's very protective and can get himself in situations he really doesn't need to be in just to stick up for someone.

A side of this canine many don't see is his softer side. He absolutely loves pups, even if he tends to intimidate them. He also longs for a mate, but he's taking his time to find one that suits him. Bo has issues, even if he doesn't show them. The scars on his body and emotionally affect him a lot more than he lets on. He needs a mate who can handle the fact he wakes up in the night snarling and biting. He's a troubled dog, but a good hearted one.

HISTORY:

Bo grew up in a facility used for breeding dogs of show quality. He was sold at 1 year old. A man had bought him, some rich human. The man did not care much for animals, and cared less once he owned a dog. Bo never lived to his show dog potential. The man soon grew angry with Bo, he was trained up to one year old but still got into trouble as any dog might. The human was not patient and forgiving though and many times beat the young dog. Bo, knowing humans as the "top dog" did not fight back. He got some scars when the man was especially violent. After a time Bo was forgotten, thrown in a grassy fenced backyard. The man fed him regularly for a bit but slowly left the dog to rot. Bo, starving and thin, pried a loose piece of fencing off and got out. From then on, he was a street dog. After about half a year, the time came when the humans were gone.

Getting food on the streets was easy for a time, but as it was eaten by all the loose dogs and animals, things go harder. After those "golden days" dogs grew more territorial and mean. Groups banded together, Bo, not seeming to go into any of the groups, was bit and ripped up some times in the fight for food. At one point he was in a scrape with a ground of dogs and was thrown off a low bridge into a rather fast moving river. Having an injured leg, he had trouble swimming and was tossed about in the river, nearly drowning until he hit a log and was able to get out. Bo is afraid of water due to this, though.

His life moved on in the years after the humans were gone until he decided to form a pack. He now is the leader of the Westwood dogs.
