okay that's nice to know, tell us more?
APPEARANCE:Despite being quite skinny, she is a rather fine and beautiful example of her breed. She gets complimented often, even though she never takes them seriously. Her fur is as white as freshly fallen snow: covering almost every inch of her delicate form. She has a shapely head with a medium length thick muzzle, and two very large fluffy pink ears protruding out of her skull. Her neck and shoulder fur ruffles before smoothing onto her back and chest, before getting fluffier again at her rump and long bushy tail. Her legs are long but skinny, and she has small dainty feet at the end of them with pink-white claws.
Her eyes are a very very dark brown: they almost look black depending on the lighting. Her nose is an unusual purple-black colour, with a slight black mark travelling up the top of her muzzle a little. She isn't particularly muscular or toned due to her skinny form, and she has very little facial expressions. All in all she's ghost-like in appearance and demeanour: white and virtually silent. But absolutely beautiful.
PERSONALITY:strengths ;
[ pacifistic - kindhearted - motherly - caring - gentle ]
weaknesses ;
[ insecure - emotional - sensitive - self-conscious - closed off ]First and foremost, Ever is a very quiet and shy creature. Often she prefers to blend into the background and not be seen by anyone, because she doesn't trust anyone and often feels like she is just an annoyance. She is very sensitive and self-conscious, and is a very easy target because of this, hence why she usually avoids others. She's very socially awkward, but this doesn't mean she doesn't like interaction from others. On the contrary, she usually longs for it due to her naturally kind and empathetic nature. She's just so incredibly shy it often causes her to not speak to anyone else unless she's spoken to first. She truly wishes she was more trusting, but because of her past she finds this very difficult.
For the most part, she is very quiet: almost a selective mute. She often won't speak unless she feels the need to, or if she's spoken to first. She doesn't respond very well to threats or attacks, and would rather run and hide than get shouted at or end up in a fight. She is protective towards those she cares about, but she's more of a "damsel in distress" than a hero of any kind. She's too cowardly for that, as well as a major pacifist. Violence and conflict are too things she just can't stand, and she will avoid them at any cost. To those she cares about, she is very loving and affectionate towards: even though it takes her quite a while to warm up to them and trust them. But usually if someone shows her kindness, she will show it right back, and is a very gentle and caring female. She is a great listener, and is pretty good at offering advise because she can sympathise with quite a lot. She is also very motherly, in that she enjoys taking care of others and can even be a bit naggy: but only because she wants what's best for them and wants them to take care of themselves.
Because of her sensitivity, she gets emotional quickly and gets upset or angered by the seemingly smallest things. She is loyal up to a point, but she won't dedicate herself to someone else or to a cause or pack until they gain her trust and bring her out of her well stitched-together shell. She's extremely guarded and won't often talk about herself unless she feels close enough to someone else to do so. She's very secretive, and refuses to talk about her past to anyone. Her past is actually why she's so reclusive and closed off. She's not a particularly sad or depressed dog.. just a little broken. A dreamer at heart, and always and forever a lover and loyal friend no matter what. Neither an optimist or pessimist.. more of a realist, which is why she appears down a lot of the time. She tries hard not to be negative around those she cares about though, because she never wants any of them to feel down. While she's not very good at cheering them up, she will always try her very best because of her good heart.
Despite being cowardly and apprehensive, she is selfless to the core. When she is close enough to someone, she will literally do anything for them no matter what. Others have seen this as a great weakness as it has got her into a lot of trouble in the past, but she isn't unwise or naive. Instead she tries to look at the positive side from things as she learns from her mistakes: which she seems to have made a lot of. But if someone shows compassion to her (and can actually withstand her annoying useless presence) and she learns to trust them after being very cautious, she is sure to not reveal too much or let them get the better of her like she used to in the past. But once she's loyal to you, know that will never shake. But if you hurt her badly, she will never forget it. Forgiving as she is, forgetting is something she will not do.
HISTORY:
"Luck? Hah.. I don't even know what that word means. Even before I was born, I was struck with misfortune, and I've had nothing else since..."Before she was born, her father died in a horrible accident. Her mother never told her exactly what happened, but she never ever recovered from it. Her loss hit her so badly mentally, most of her children were born dead -- all except Ever. This caused her mother to become even more emotionally unstable, but she loved her only daughter dearly and made sure to raise her and care for her properly despite her now fragile mind. She was a good mother to her despite this: even though she was rather over-protective. One couldn't blame her for being this way, even though Ever got a little impatient and irritated with her sometimes. But as she grew she became more understanding, and was very cautious in order to ease her mother's worries. Even though she was often very overbearing. Ever of course asked questions about her father, to which she was never told much. All she really knows about him is that he was a great dog: loyal and determined, and very loving and just. The fact that she never got a chance to meet him still upsets the female, but she tries not to dwell on it too much: for her mother's sake.
When she was about 7 months old, she met a handsome male shepherd named Vergil. They hit it off straight away, and even though she was young she grew very attached to him. Her mother (who she was still living with at the time), despite being cautious, was happy to see her daughter happy. Ever spent as much time with Vergil as she could, her love growing stronger for him each day. It was mainly infatuation, but she was young and naive and she didn't care. But one day he told her it was all just an "experiment" and that he didn't feel the same way about her that she did for him. This broke her young heart terribly when he left her, and her mother comforted her and reminded her that very few males were actually like that. Of course she went through a phase of hating males, but of course this didn't last long as she was still young.
When she reached a year, she left her mother to go and satrt a life of her own properly. The two had never been part of a pack: they hadn't even known many other dogs around. Vergil was the son of another female shepherd Ever's mother had known, and besides a very select few the two didn't know many others and were pretty much on their own. A little shy but eager to get out there, Ever and her mother exchanged a long and teary goodbye: Ever promising she would come and visit soon. Her mother was of course sad, but she was happy to see Ever leave the nest and start her own life. She had been her greatest achievement, and she was proud of her.
Soon enough, Ever met a small gang of five dogs who weren't really a pack: they had just banded together for the sake of survival. They were all pretty close, and they took a liking to Ever quite quickly. She was a bit shy at first, but soon befriended them all. There were three females and two males: one of which who was a labrador named Tristan who quickly took a liking to her. Soon the two got rather close, and Ever once again opened up her heart to another male. Hesitantly at first, but soon enough the two were lovers. He charmed her and treated her well, and as they got closer and closer the rest of the band became jealous because they spent so much time together away from them. Ever didn't realise the damage she was doing to the group: she was just so happy to be happy with someone else. Soon enough the rest of the dogs plotted against the couple, and tricked Ever into thinking Tristan was cheating on her with another one of the females: an Irish setter named Maggie. This broke Ever's heart, and she left them with tears in her eyes before Tristan got a chance to explain. Tristan didn't know why Ever thought this, and to this day he still has no idea, even though he wish he did.
So once again, Ever's heart was closed off from others: now even more so than before. In her second year she met some more dogs who she traveled with: this time being careful to not fall in love with any of the males she came across. She was a bit too cautious around them: especially when they complimented her or played with her in a friendly manner, but she took it the wrong way and often got a little too over defensive. And she never dared to explain why she was like this, in fear of them thinking her as foolish or making fun of her. Despite this they had a good time together, travelling and hunting and laughing, swapping stories and sharing techniques. Ever became very close with all of them, and felt happy and secure with other dogs for once. They were her friends, and she was sure they'd never betray her.
Soon enough one of the females: a saluki named Suzette confessed that she had feelings for the white shepherd. Ever was a little confused by the notion that a female would be attracted to her, but she didn't think any less of her friend after her confession and was sure to comfort her. Soon she wondered if she could be in a relationship with another female, and soon enough she gave it a try. Her and Suzette were very good friends: they had a lot in common, and the saluki was very sweet and affectionate with her. Ever felt like she could trust her more than she could trust males, so she felt happy and secure with her newfound self discovery. She truly loved Suzette, and their friends were happy for them. Of course it wasn't to last, and Ever soon discovered that Suzette was being unfaithful to her, sleeping around with another one of the females there: the jealous German shepherd Vera. Vera was very bitter and cruel towards Ever, and Suzette tried to apologise but the female would not accept it. The males were disgusted and appalled with Suzette for what she had done to her friend, and they all watched sadly as she abandoned them: once again because of a broken heart. They disbanded after that: leaving Vera and Suzette far behind them. If she couldn't trust males and she couldn't trust females... then who could she trust?
So now, on her third year, she is a loner. No matter how many times she tries to tell herself she doesn't want or need love or even friendship, she knows deep in her frozen concealed heart that she does. Because in the end, we all need someone to listen and someone who cares. And that's where her story ends for now.
