APPEARANCE:

Kaia is a stunning Dalmatian / Pit Bull cross. Her approximate age is between 3 and 4 years. Most would say that she is an eye catcher. She got her looks from her mother, Leah. Kaia is a petite female taking on more of the Dalmatians frame and build instead of the Pit Bulls. She stands twenty inches high and weighs forty-six pounds. Her eyes are a mix-matched color. Her left pupil is a very light sky blue, almost translucent in a way; it almost seems as if she would be blind, but she has her full vision. Her right eye is a dark but soft milky chocolate brown. Though her eyes are two different colors they both contrast nicely with her black and white coat. Her coat is mostly white, but she has black patches in different places. One of the largest patches lies on her back; it’s an award smudge that in some ways look like a butterfly. Kaia also has a black patch that looks almost brindle surrounding her left eye. Patches also cover her right ear and the tip of her tail. Kaia also inherited the Dalmatians spots the cover the rest of her body. She can be an unusual sight to humans but her breeds make an interesting and lovely combination.

She is very loyal and remains by those who gain her trust for life. Kaia may take a while to trust those unknown to her and may push them to prove themselves worthy of her friendship. Though, in the end her friendship is worth the while. So it seems she is shy and in fact she is, she can also be skittish and timid as well. Kaia tends to take better to females far more than she does with males; her past is the reason for this. Other than Kaia’s shy and timid side, she is a fun loving dog that loves living. She tries to appreciate the little things in life, taking the time to smell the roses. She is the kind of girl that will randomly stop in the middle of walking to take in the sights and smells around her. She is a kind of dog that will stop whatever she’s doing to help someone in need, no matter what the cost is. She tries not to take anything for granted. She also tries to see the good in everyone, which might one day cause her downfall. She is a kind of dog that regrets nothing and wouldn’t redo anything; she believes everything happens for a reason.

HISTORY:

Well considering the past this dog went through it's a wonder how she turned out...normal...one could say. Her history begins long ago with a very young and naïve couple. Leah was a purebred Dalmatian of two years old, and Blitz was a Purebred Pit Bull of the same age. They met one night when the moon was full, and the sky was alive. They were quick to fall in love with each other and they quickly mated and produced three lovely pups. Hane was the first to emerge followed by his sister Bella. Kaia was the last of the three to follow and also the smallest. At first she barely moved and Leah thought they were only going to have two pups, but Kaia finally started to breath. The pups grew quickly and learned how to live in the wild streets and how to cope with the humans that inhabited the city.

Leah and Blitz being so young didn't know all of the dangers of the city. On one of the outings the small family was tested. Teenage boys were out wandering the streets looking for fighting dogs and quickly snatched up the family. The boys trained each how to fight, all but Kaia. Leah and Blitz were thrown in the pen together, both starved of food. Blitz killed his mate so she wouldn't have to suffer. Then Bella was put to the test against her father…she lost. Last but not least Hane was thrown in and won, taking his dads life. Hane quickly became a handful, attacking anyone and everyone who tried to get to close to his pin. The boys didn't find this amusing and put Kaia into the pen to see what Hane would do. Hane didn't kill his sister and instead raped her. The boys took Hane’s life feeling he was a harm to their fighting dogs and themselves. They ended up letting Kaia run loose, having no use for her. Luckily she didn't produce any pups from the rape.

Kaia had never been alone on her own so she decided to close herself up afterwards for sometime almost like a hermit. When other dogs would come around she would slump down acting as if she was a shadow and the dogs couldn't see her. She lived in the shadows moving only when others couldn't be sensed. Kaia started to come out of her shell a little at a time, though she still hasn't fully recovered. Kaia can’t seem to stay in one place for very long.
