Viper had been running for what seemed like hours from the few strange dogs that had been chasing here, although she was strong she had been outnumbered. The ruby red blood coming from her wounds were now starting to stain her beautiful coat. The dogs that had been chasing her had stopped at the gates to this graveyard as if frozen with fear, but she went on, driven by fear. She was still gasping for air, panting heavily, the light drizzle almost sticking to her coat, she closed her eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath, even she could smell her own fear, her own blood.
Then she caught the scent of other dogs, quickly realizing she was in a pack territory. But, there looked to be only a single exit, being the same way she came in, the same place the dogs were standing, waiting for her. She looked around, her ears flicking back and forth as she listened intently to her surroundings. She didn't dare make a move, she knew if she could gain enough speed she could probably get over the iron fences, but with her injuries she wasn't sure.

he knew he couldn't hide from the world forever. he taught himself that, as much as the idea terrified him. he was part of a pack now, though, and had to make that dedication. it scared him, but someday he would have to make the transformation from kit to canine. it might not be for years at this rate, but Pestilence let his small limbs carry him into his packland. he knew nobody of the pack, and knew he would be found and questioned. he would shyly explain, this was his home and he wants to make an effort to please himself, and those around him. he's waiting for approval, by someone.
however, he did not expect to smell the strong scent of blood and sweat. he did not expect to see a large white wolf covered in her own blood, running through the territory. he let his body flinch, so obviously, from the sight of it, and let himself gasp. that was who he was; his fear always expressed so apparently. he watched as the dog skidded to a halt, and his ears perked forward. was she part of the pack? was she not? she looked... scared and confused.
are you... in this pack, miss? Pestilence called out, his posture small and terrified as ever. this was the first time he heard the sound of his own voice in awhile- the first time he spoke to anyone out loud. and how strange, and scary it was.

Viper almost jumped, hearing the small fox speak. She flicked her ears, huffing slightly, and standing a bit taller. 'Is this what they send to defend their pack?' she asked herself. She figured it shouldn't be too tough then, but little did she know she was underestimating the pack as a whole. She took a step closer to the small canine "No." Viper spoke this with blunt confidence.
The smell of blood was strong, strong enough to make someone sick, and she was almost hoping that there would be more that smelt it, after all she didn't mind the attention. She flicked the tip of her tail as she eyed the small fox, trying to figure if she was supposed to be intimidated by him. 'Maybe he's like some kind of ninja or something.' she said this to herself again, completely confused.
The young fox looked to be shaking in his own fur, as if almost afraid of himself, maybe she could provoke him. Viper stepped closer, almost challenging him, but not quite. Her head lowered, but her eyes and ears still staying keen as every to make sure it wasn't an ambush. She barked, as if to show her status, not that she particularly had one. The dogs at the gate were starting to make a ruckus with their loud barks, growls, and howls. It was slightly irritating she thought, but her focus was now on this fox. What was his next move?

the female took a step forward, and with that movement Pestilence took a step back and lowered hs body to the ground as though he could fall away into the earth. he let himself whimper, and without meaning to, he spoke again. you're scaring me... Pestilence whined, his voice barely a whisper. his ears at this point lay flat on his head, and his tail curled around his body. his eyes held the fear he felt so easily, and he was hoping for mercy, perhaps.
how tempted he was to run! however, he stood his low ground. no, not really. he simply, didn't run. he let himself feel this fear, as it shred at his beating heart. he let himself feel this familiar sensation- petrified.

A soft chuckle was given off when she heard him say she was scaring him, he looked so young. She laid down where she was, resting her head on her paws, yet keeping extremely alert. "I'm scaring you...?" She was honestly confused, he was of a pack, she a loner, he had back up.
She rubbed her ear, feeling the insane itch once more. The moment she stopped she glanced around, then locked eyes with him once more "Why did they send you to handle me, a canine of your size surely doesn't have too much up his sleeve, am I correct?" Although Viper was young, she was wise and had experience.
Jumping to her feet fairly quickly when one of the stray dogs threatened to move past the fence, she moved so she was standing in front of the small fox. Her lips curled back slightly, her glistening white teeth standing out. A deep growl made it's way from her throat, her instinct kicking in. She wasn't sure if the dog would actually challenge her or not but she hoped not. "Stay behind me." this was more of a demand than a request, the words more of a growl than anything, they were almost hard to interpret.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,495,true] | [atrb=background,http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee500/lukari/02-15.png] the look on the dogs face was one of confusion, which stumped Pestilence even more. he honestly didn't know what he was supposed to do right now- this dog was a loner, trespassing. wasn't it Pestilence's job to get the pack? something stopped him, though. would it be fair, this bleeding dog to be attacked by more? Pestilence truly was torn between two choices; but in the end, it was the cowards choice. he only nodded to the dogs question, his ears falling lower back on his head. his eyes were wide with fear.
next, the dog mentioned his packmates, sending him out- uh... i wasn't sent by anyone, this- this is my f-first time in these lands... i w-was requesting to j-join the p-p-pack... Pestilence stuttered, and suddenly he was very angry with himself. why did he let himself feel so much fear, and be so vulnerable? it was terrible! but, he couldn't change that about himself... he simpy couldn't.
other dogs began to bark, and Pestilence realized they were after the white beauty- did he really just think of her like that?! she told him to get behind her, and he didn't move- he let her stand in front of him. his confusion was suddenly painful- who=who are they? and... w-why are you pro-protection m-me? Pestilence tried to speak up, but his voiec still cracked and he still was shivering with his own terror, his body trembling.

She flicked her tail, she was shaking pretty badly, unsure if she could actually take the large shepherd-like dog, but she knew she sure would at least try. "Because I think we both know you wouldn't be able to protect yourself, and I'm not stupid enough to just leave here to die, your pack would have my skin for it." Viper avoided the question of who the other dogs were, but she watched as they moved closer.
Her hackles raised, standing tall, lowering her head a bit more, her ears now lay flat against her head, not in fear, but to show she meant business. Her wounds were still bleeding fairly badly, but she had to tough this out, she had no choice. She knew it was kill or be killed out here, there was no other choice. She barked, warning the dog that had dared come closer, he was now past the gate, being in this pack's territory as well. This couldn't be good.
The sound of Viper's heavy breathing alone was enough to make someone think she had already pushed herself far past her physical limits, in fact maybe she had. But Viper never went down without a fight, no matter how weak she was, she would keep getting up, her mind was strong, and that made her strong. She never once considered losing, considered the end, to her, that wasn't a choice, wasn't a possibility. She snarled, her lips curled back as far as they could, the deep growls echoing in the graveyard.
She snapped, showing the slowly approaching male that she wouldn't step down. Viper's bravery was almost crazy, or was it fear that drove her? Fear of not being able to go on? Who knows, but, whatever it was, it was enough to drive her forward. She could feel the small male frozen behind her. She stepped back using her tail to shove him softly. "Find someone and bring them back, quickly." She expected the male to run instead, but wasn't sure if he would just freeze up either, but she didn't think she could handle this fight.
OOC: I'm going to use my male, Slick, and maybe Rev as these dogs, but definitely Slick, Rev may just stand back
