APPEARANCE:

from a distance, ambrosia could be mistaken for small horse. she is actually on the smaller spectrum for her breed, and appears much less threatening close up. she has a lean build, though her fur does well to bulk her up. it is naturally white, though has begun to turn into a creamy shade around her face and neck. she doesn’t care about her physical appearance, and doesn’t spend her time maintaining her looks. though she has a natural beauty about her, she disregards and even denies it if ever mentioned. even if she tried to matte her fur and dirty her skin, she would be unable to remove the beauty of her eyes. thick lashes are delicately placed around her wide almond eyes. they’re the shade of deep chocolate brown, nearing black on the outer rims. despite the openness of her eyes, she has learned to hide her emotions in them. her expression is often blank and difficult to interpret, which is how she prefers it.

ambrosia isn’t the type to gain a lot of friends too quickly. she is easily mistaken as pretentious and snobby, which isn’t too unrealistic to believe. however, in reality she carries a deep hatred for herself. she is constantly dwelling on the past, and regretting the mistakes she’s made. she is inescapably lost in her past, and doesn’t quite feel the need to return to the present. her deep regret and self-hatred cause her to be insensitive to other’s emotions. she is horribly judgmental and easily annoyed, though she does well to keep her cruel thoughts to herself. an unobservant dog wouldn’t necessarily even notice her quick temper. she speaks only what she feels must be said, and a distracted ear wouldn’t hear the edge to her voice. despite her troubles in society, ambrosia is prone to extreme bouts of loneliness. as much as she struggles to get along with others, she is still bound to simply be in someones company. she fears being alone and allowing her thoughts to run unrestricted. in some ways, her struggle to form positive and lasting relationships is a personal choice. she unknowingly denies herself companionship with the intent to cause some form of suffering – a punishment. she uses her irritability and curtness to push away anyone from acquainting themselves.
even though she is often in a foul mood, ambrosia is still keen on respecting authority. she knows her place in the world, and is entirely submissive in nature. she will stand by whichever group that accepts her, though is not necessarily a loyal member. she floats through the world, going whichever way she is nudged. ambrosia is highly intelligent, though she doesn’t always consider the pros and cons of every situation. when she does, she makes her choices based on whichever option has the highest chance of hurting her in the future. she is wily, and not someone to be trusted. she isn’t afraid to drag someone down with her on her quest to self-destroy.
