Pern is changing...
When a woman Impresses a bronze and a man Impresses a gold they are exiled.
A few brave or foolish enough to support them rally behind them and form a new weyr.
But can Whirlpool Weyr stay afloat?
Or will they be caught in the very thing for which they are named?
